Winter 2014 aka Polar Vortex You Stink

So a few days into January and we were expecting a big snow storm.  We stocked up and were ready to be snowbound for a few days.
Well that was just the beginning of continual storms just like it.  There was much shoveling to be done.
There was much snuggle time going on.
When it wasn't negative temperatures we tried to get outside and play.
The battle of the icicles was never ending.  A few times a week you would find my husband on a ladder with a hose connected to our kitchen sink trying to break up the massive ice dams that had formed.
We reveled in any hint of sunshine!
It snowed, and snowed, and snowed.
And snowed some more.  This was on my birthday in mid February.  Still no sign of a let up.
I must admit that by middle of February I had completely given up on hope of a reprieve and we had many pajama days.

But pajama days are the best so I guess it wasn't all bad.
Finally by the end of March we started to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
