After a two week "baby delay" the O Academy started the 2012-2013 school year. Now we do school all year long with a lighter load through the summer but we always have an official start date for the new school year. The Littles couldn't wait to try out the new chalkboard!
"Daddy, Can you help me get my backpack on?"
Lovebird (This is the best we could do.)
"Is it time to go to the library yet?"
Ladybug was sleeping for our morning pictures and then she couldn't wait to hit the books.
To get ready to celebrate Rosh Hashanah we headed up north to do a little apple picking. Everyone had a great time and agreed that picking apples was a whole lot easier than strawberries and blueberries!!!
So I was feeling like Daddy was getting to have all the fun and go out to breakfast with each kid and so I decided to take each of the kids out on my own. Now it's much harder for me to get out with only one kid during work hours so I have to be a little more creative. I also didn't want to bring the baby which makes it that much more difficult to plan.
Curly Bear got to be the first. We went to Charming Charlies to pick up a gift for Aunt K and do some of our own shopping and then it was off for some FroYo.
Cuddlebug and I headed to Target to pick out a new backpack and then........FroYo. Do you notice a common theme yet? We went at night which made the trip back home a little chilly. Five minutes into the drive Cuddlebug asked if we could put the top up on the car because she was too cold. I still haven't taken the other two out. I'm going to try to make that happen this week.
B.W. thought "The Doughnut Factory" sounded pretty good so that is where he chose to go for his breakfast out with Daddy. He is old enough though to call it by its proper name, Krispy Kreme.
We visited Great Grandma so she could meet Ladybug.
Lovebird also got to have a momentous first. She got to experience her first Cien en Boca and Florecita. She pretty much just liked eating the frosting off of the Florecitas. So glad we still have some Puerto Rico connections to send my Grandma these favorite goodies.
So we are enjoying our relaxed days and lots of fun is being had. Prince Charming is doing a fairly good job at relaxing and not working and so am I. I REALLY need to get some school stuff done but am trying to wait until the weekend. We are not sit around and do nothing kind of people so I know that saying "no work allowed" means just a little work.
Cuddlebug chose "the doughnut factory" for her breakfast out with daddy.
Curly Bear chose McDonald's. Considering this one loves her fresh foods she has quite the addiction to McDonald's breakfast. Not quite sure why.
We went on a family walk. It was actually the first time we have been on the trails all summer. The dogs loved it as did the kids. Ladybug stayed awake the whole time and looked all around.
Daddy got a great work out pushing the double stroller up all those hills. It was beautiful weather for a walk!
